Got Questions? We have Answers!

Are you really Geeks?

Psh! Duh! Did you not look through the site yet. We are multi-geeks in our ow rights. Video Games, Anime, Writing, Skating, Cars, Computers, etc etc. We to Japan for our Honeymoon for pete’s sake. I think we LIVED in Akihabara for at least 5 days and brought home a Stuffed Yoshi that is taller than Derrian!

Easy answer is yes, and it was this mutual love that brought us together and in the end encouraged us to create little spawns so we can sit them in front of an Atari and have them move of the console chain just like we did when we were young.

What are some of your favorites?

CKnight – Metal Gear Solid, Ghost in the Shell, Hello Kitty, Rotary powered Mazdas, Left hand drive Subaras, Cats.

Derrian – Final Fantasy anything, Amiibos, Cowboy Bebop, Pikachu, Pikachu, Did we mention Pikachu? Cats.

Why build this site?

We don’t know honestly. So many people out there deal with these same inferitlity issues that we are currently experiencing. But NO ONE ever talks about it. It is such a hush hush topic in the world. We decided that we can tell our story and have fun with it.

It not only helps us with coping, but we hope it will help others in the geeky community (and perhaps outside it as well)

What is IVF?

IVF = In Vitro Fertilization is the process by which eggs are removed from a woman’s ovaries and mixed (or injected) with sperm in a laboratory culture dish. Fertilization takes place in this dish, “in vitro”, which means “in glass”. This fertilzed egg is then placed back in the woman’s uterus in hopes that it will attach and live on.

“Test Tube” baby, perhaps Quatre from Gundam Wing rings a bell?

IVF is a complex and expensive procedure; only about 5% of couples with infertility seek it out. However, since its introduction in the U.S. in 1981, IVF and other similar techniques have resulted in more than 200,000 babies.

How much does it cost?

On average IVF costs $15,000 for ONE cycle. This is ONE chance to get a baby.

Many clinics offer packages the comprise of multiple attempts. Which is what we are doing. We get 3 rounds of egg harvesting (our baby dinosaur eggs) and can try to get a baby out of every eggs we get to fertilize.

That package costs us $26000, plus about $1000 for random things the package does not cover EACH TRY.

Ouch!¬†Our little bag of gold is empty…

Why not sell some stuff to fund this?

Really? Yes, we have collected a lot of stuff in the time we have dated. But it is stuff that is important to us and something that is not sentimental.

Does that mean we won’t sell a damn thing? No and we have sold things and will continue to do so, but in the end the time/commitment versus the money we will get for a lot of stuff is just not worth it when our minds are fried with this process alone.

Plus jobs, the little social life we try to maintain, and the fact that this ‘stuff’ helps us escape from the stressful reality that surrounds us right now. That is worth more than money.

Why are you asking for money from strangers?

We are not, simple answer. The process is paid for and we are currently shelling out hundreds of dollars a month to pay that loan back. It will take us 5 years.

We are more aiming to educate and entertain our audience. If you happen to decide to buy a cute sticker while your on the site. We are more then happy to ship it out to you! They are pretty awesome.

What if you raise more money then you need?

Solve world hunger? No I wish. But really, IF we do happen to make any money through donations and sales, all of that will go to paying off our medical bills and loans. Anything left over will go to that wonderful baby geek people support to come into this world.

If we see too many figures, some sort of donation will be arranged. We know babies are expensive, but they don’t need a house full of toys they are just going to stick in their drooling mouth anyway. If we can help others like us and ‘pass it forward’ that would mean the world to us.
